QUESTIONS

Have a question? Chances are, someone else had that question too – check here to see if it’s already been answered, or if you’d like to ask us something directly, head over to the contact page.

Q: Do you ship to my country?
A: We are currently only shipping within the United States, although we can arrange for shipment outside of the U.S. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Q: Why is the store stock so low?
Here at Vodeq we would like to grow as naturally as possible. Taking on less investments in the beginning will allow us to keep the prices low for you. If there is something you need, or would like to see on the site, shoot us an email: [email protected]. Also if an item is out of stock, you can subscribe to be notified when it is back in stock. This helps us know what we need to order next for you.

Q: How do I assemble my kit/PCB?
A: Each of our kits will soon have detailed instructional video on its page here on our website. When purchasing a kit or PCB you will receive a PDF download link within your email. If you create an account with us you can find all of these within your account page under downloads (https://vodeq.com/my-account/downloads/). If you are having issues please contact us.

Q: How do I know if it sounds good?
A: While “sounding good” is always a somewhat subjective term, our goal isn’t to mislead you or sell you bad products. For this reason (and to satisfy our own curiosity), we’re constantly uploading various demo videos and shootouts between our kits and industry standard equipment to give you a better idea of what to expect.

Q: What tools do I need to build a kit?
A: Our goal is to have truly “all in one” kits. Barring some exceptions (such as a eurorack power supply, or 500 series chassis for our 500 series modules), the key items you’ll need are a soldering iron, digital multimeter, and a spool of solder. If you want to make your life a bit easier, we also highly recommend picking up something to hold the components, such as a vice grip.

Q: Why is (product) so expensive?
A: Above all, we strive to always be fair and reasonable when pricing our products. As such, all of our prices are based off the cost of the components, manufacturing, and labor that go into making them market ready. While we can’t publish specific numbers for these, what we can promise is that none of us are trying to rip you off. The DIY community is small, and most of us are just here to build cool gear – we are no exception. Selling products on our website isn’t some crazy “get rich quick” scheme or massive business we’re trying to build, and we hope that comes across in everything we do.

Q: Why is (product) so cheap?
A: With our extensive background in manufacturing and business to business operations, we’ve managed to create a network of up and coming suppliers creating quality products at great prices. By buying our products in bulk from our suppliers, we’re able to pass on these significant savings to our customers, without compromising on quality.
